　　习近平在讲话中阐释了人类命运共同体的内涵：

　　“人类命运共同体，顾名思义，就是每个民族、每个国家的前途命运都紧紧联系在一起，应该风雨同舟，荣辱与共，努力把我们生于斯、长于斯的这个星球建成一个和睦的大家庭，把世界各国人民对美好生活的向往变成现实。”"Building a community with a shared future for mankind is in essence to connect the prospects and destinies of every nation and country closely together, share weal and woe, turn planet Earth into a harmonious family, and make people's desire for better life come true."

　　习近平同时指出，中国共产党是为中国人民谋幸福的党，也是为人类进步事业而奋斗的党。我们要把自己的事情做好，这本身就是对构建人类命运共同体的贡献。我们也要通过推动中国发展给世界创造更多机遇。我们不“输入”外国模式，也不“输出”中国模式，不会要求别国“复制”中国的做法。

　　在讲话结束时，习近平引用了《论语》中的名句“益者三友，友直、友谅、友多闻”，强调中国共产党愿同世界各国政党加强往来，分享治党治国经验，开展文明交流对话，增进彼此战略信任，推动构建人类命运共同体，携手建设更加美好的世界。

　　“益者三友，友直、友谅、友多闻”出自《论语 季氏篇》，全句是这样说的：

　　子曰：“益者三友，损者三友。友直，友谅，友多闻，益矣。友便辟，友善柔，友便佞，损矣。”

　　这句话的意思是：

　　孔子说：“有益的朋友有三种，有害的朋友有三种。结交正直的朋友，诚信的朋友，知识广博的朋友，是有益的。结交谄媚逢迎的人，结交表面奉承而背后诽谤人的人，结交善于花言巧语的人，是有害的。”

　　辜鸿铭翻译的《论语》英译中，这句话是这样表达的：

　　Confucius remarked, "There are three kinds of friendship which are beneficial and three kinds which are injurious. Friendship with upright men, with faithful men, and with men of much information: such friendship are beneficial. Friendship with plausible men, with men of insinuating manners, and with glibtongued men: such friendships are injurious."

They would erode a country's own roots for growth, and impair the future of whole humanity.

　　中国共产党所做的一切，就是为中国人民谋幸福、为中华民族谋复兴、为人类谋和平与发展。The CPC strives for the well-being of the Chinese people, rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as well as peace and development of mankind.

　　我们不“输入”外国模式，也不“输出”中国模式，不会要求别国“复制”中国的做法。The CPC would neither import foreign models of development nor export the Chinese model. We will not ask other countries to copy the Chinese practice
